Who We Are

RX Advantages is an independent patient assistance service. We are not affiliated with any pharmaceutical manufacturer, government agency, insurance company, or healthcare provider. We provide application assistance services to help qualifying patients access manufacturer-sponsored prescription assistance programs.

Information We Collect

Personal Information

Name, mailing address, date of birth, phone number, email address, and state of residence.

Health Information (PHI)

Medication names and dosages, diagnosis information (as required by specific programs), prescriber name and contact details, and insurance status. We treat all health-related information with PHI-grade care and apply appropriate safeguards regardless of whether a formal HIPAA Business Associate Agreement is in place.

Financial Information

Household size and income range (collected as a bracket, not exact figures, for initial eligibility screening). We do not collect your Social Security Number, bank account numbers, or tax returns through our web platform.

Technical Information

Standard web server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) for security and operational purposes. We do not use tracking pixels or behavioral advertising on our application forms.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information you provide exclusively to:

  • Prepare and submit patient assistance program applications on your behalf
  • Coordinate with your prescribing physician's office for required signatures
  • Monitor your application status and communicate updates to you
  • Send refill reminders and reauthorization notices
  • Respond to your questions and support requests
  • Comply with applicable legal obligations

We do not use your information for marketing purposes, profiling, or to sell products or services beyond our prescription assistance service.

How We Share Your Information

We share your information only in these circumstances:

With Pharmaceutical Manufacturers

We submit your application information to the manufacturer's patient assistance program administrators. This is the core purpose of our service. You authorize this sharing when you sign the HIPAA release in your application. Each manufacturer receives only the information required for that specific program.

With Your Prescribing Physician

We coordinate with your doctor's office for required signatures and delivery coordination. We share only what is necessary for those purposes.

Legal Requirements

We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or valid government request. We will notify you to the extent permitted by law.

We Never

We never sell your personal or health information. We never share it with advertisers, data brokers, or third-party marketers. We do not share it with other patients, employers, or unauthorized healthcare entities.

Data Security

All data is transmitted over TLS-encrypted connections (HTTPS). Data at rest is stored with encryption. Access to patient records is restricted to authorized personnel on a need-to-know basis. We conduct periodic access reviews and do not store sensitive financial data (such as SSN) on our web-facing systems.

Data Retention

We retain your information for 7 years after the close of your last active application, consistent with standard healthcare record-retention practices and applicable regulations. After the retention period, records are securely deleted. You may request earlier deletion; however, we may be required to retain certain records for legal compliance.

SMS and Text Messaging

If you opt in to SMS reminders, we will send you text messages about your application status and medication refill reminders. Message frequency varies (typically 1–4 messages per month). Standard message and data rates may apply depending on your carrier plan. To stop receiving texts, reply STOP to any message. To get help, reply HELP. Opting out of SMS does not affect your service.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate or outdated information
  • Request deletion of your information (subject to retention obligations)
  • Revoke consent to contact or to share PHI at any time in writing
  • File a complaint with a relevant data protection authority

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@rxadvantages.com. We respond to all privacy requests within 10 business days.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy periodically. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of our service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
